The Final Project Clean-Up

It is possible that before your garden looks better, it will look worse first. When we bring in heavy plant machinery, begin groundworks, and start moving earth around in track barrows, we often see our customers' faces change as the worry kicks in and they question their confidence in their own decisions. Our customers can rest assured that they made the right decision choosing EP Gardening Services. The plan is to always leave a garden tidier than when we arrived. We are proud of our ethics and completely understand, be it a patio installation, new decking area, or a simple hedge trim,  that the finished product/project is not complete until we have cleared the area of any waste that is produced and that we leave no trace of any products we have used during the project.

We try to make provisions at the initial stages. When tipping topsoil, sand, or ornamental bark, we use a tarpaulin on the ground, which makes it easier to clear up at the end and protects the surface beneath. This is the same when mixing concrete in a cement mixer. When necessary we we use wooden boards underneath, for extra protection and stability. Splashes are inevitable, especially when pouring cement into a wheelbarrow. It can leave unsightly marks when it dries. Sometimes cement finds its way onto the wheel and the last thing you want to see on a new patio installation is tyre marks. We use various products to dissolve any affected areas as you can see in the video below.

A simple sweep-up and blow with the leaf blower is often enough but, on occasions, we will give the area a pressure wash. We sometimes have to be careful not to make an area too clean as the contrast to untreated areas can be too severe and all of a sudden a can of worms is opened. Some customers are thankful for highlighting an area that needs attention, as you can imagine, others are not. Below, if you are looking for it, you can see the difference between the newly cleaned bricks and the untreated bricks, the contrast is not too severe and our blending of the red blocks with the slightly greyer, dirtier blocks, worked very well.

EP Gardening Services holds an Environmental Waste Carrier Licence. All commercial companies that remove garden waste, such as green waste, must be registered by law. Companies that do not have a waste carrier license will not be covered by their liability insurance when transporting the waste and it is less likely that the waste will be disposed of correctly. Below you can see a quick video of where most of our broken-out hardcore ends up, that is if we don't store it to use on foundations for another project.

So as you can see, everything is important to us, not just the end product and that is why people choose EP Gardening Services for all their gardening requirements, be it soft or hard landscaping requirements.
