Circular Paving & Patio Circles
A popular choice for fire pit areas or independent central feature spaces, often combined with traditional square and rectangle designs, circular paving can give your garden a unique design.
Patio Installation
Below is one of our latest patio projects. Being situated at the side of a pathway on a hill, for this project we needed to build up one half of the patio with blocks, to level out the area ready for laying Grey Kandla Indian Sandstone. We then clad the exterior brickwork with reclaimed decking boards, giving a matching wooden frame that complements the surrounding pergola framework. The area was filled with Type 1 MOT and whacked down before laying the multi-pack pavers which include 4 sizes, onto a full mortar bed. As you can see it is now a stunning, fully functional entertainment area.

repointing and relaying
On occasions, repointing affected areas is the solution, but more often than not, the case is to lift some or all of the existing pavers, break out the old mortar, and completely relay the slabs again. We provide a full inspection service followed by advice on the best option moving forward. Then it is simply a case of booking one of our teams to make your patio area safe, resilient to weather, and looking like new again.
When patio slabs are not laid correctly they can begin to move under your feet and is usually a result of insufficient mortar beneath, a loose sub-base, or faulty pointing during initial installation. Water will find its way into the cracks and subsequently freeze during winter periods, causing the grout to break up. Further erosion then occurs and all of a sudden your patio becomes a trip hazard. Patio Extensions
The below project consisted of various elements. Once the area was measured and marked out, we installed the foundations for the new circular brickwork garden surround. The brickwork for the steps was built, we then extended the original patio with bull nose edging and used the same edging, cut to size, to fit the steps and round corner additional patio area. We lifted the pavers, having cut out the circumference area of the new circular design, and used them to extend the top of the new steps. We also combined them in the corner patio with new pavers and continued the theme throughout the entire garden. To finish off, we installed new closebaord fencing which stepped down precisely including an additional trellis topper. A lot to take in? See the below pictures of the whole project.

Pressure Washing
Over time most patios, paths, and brick and stonework will need a cleanup, especially after the autumn and winter months. The build-up of green algae, moss, mold, decomposed leaves, and general dust and dirt can be cleaned away very easily with our pressure washing service and often leaves an area looking brand new again.
